Darfur security, humanitarian situations ‘deteriorated significantly’ – UN peacekeeping chief
The security and humanitarian situations in the Darfur region of Sudan “deteriorated significantly” over the past year, the head of United Nations peacekeeping told the Security Council today, adding that there had also been no tangible progress toward resolving the conflict.

KP- 9 policemen martyred in separate attacks
