BNA- Religious Scholar Gunned Down In Samangan
A religious scholar was gunned down by unknown gunmen in northern Samangan province the night before last. Spokesman of police chief in Samangan told BNA, Mawlavi Abdul Majeed who was 60 years old, while he gone to mosque for performing evening prayer shooting by unknown gunmen with Kalashnikov in Gunbadan village, Faroz Nakhjer district of the province. It has been said, after the incident police forces besieged the area, which became under fire from a residential house, as a result a policeman was wounded. 10 people were arrested accused of the two cases by policeman, the source added.
