BNA- Infighting Between Afghan And American Troops Suffered Casualties
Clashes took place between Afghan security forces and American troops in southern Kandahar province yesterday. According to reports, the battles occurred, while American troops don’t pay attention on Afghan security forces’ instruction in a military base in Kandahar province. Commander of Afghan National Army in the south of the country told BNA reporter, both sides sustained casualties following the clashes.

A major offensive by the Taliban insurgents on Greshk district in southern Helmand province ended after almost 48 hours of heavy gun battle. According to the local government officials, the Taliban insurgents launched the attack late on Thursday night by detonating several car bombs and using Humvee armored personnel carriers to storm the district compound and security posts.
