Reuters- Survivor tells of Kabul hospital attack
Patient Zia Zabuli was lucky to escape Wednesday's attack on a military hospital in central Kabul, which has been claimed by Islamic State. In hospital because of a leg wound, he and three others hid in a room and barricaded themselves in when they saw one of the gunmen approaching. "Together we put beds, chairs and whatever there was behind the door," he told Reuters an hour or so after a prolonged battle ended in the late afternoon.

KP- NATO says standing ready to assist Afghans as deadly attack hits Kabul military hospital
The NATO-led Resolute Support Mission In Afghanistan reaffirmed support to the Afghan security institutions following a deadly attack on a military hospital in capital Kabul earlier today. “We are aware of the report of Kabul hospital attack & are monitoring the situation. We stand ready to assist Afghan security services,” the alliance said in a Twiiter post. The alliance went on to say “Once again insurgents show complete disrespect for humanity by attacking a hospital. We stand with Afghan people against terrorism.”
