Todd Akin Ignores Wildfires To Deny Global Warming Reality

It’s a passion sweeping through the Republican Party. Eagerness to express the idea that global warming is not real is growing among GOP politicians, even as evidence that global warming is having a devastating impact on Americans’ lives is stronger than ever before. This week, the National Snow and Ice Data Center shows that the surface area of ice covering the Arctic Ocean has matched the record low extent that occurred in 2007 – and the ice is thinner this time. Texan Republican presidential candidates Ron Paul and Rick Perry continue to insist that global warming is a ...

Rep. Todd Akin touts tea party credentials

In a meeting yesterday with Central Missouri tea party activists, U.S. Rep. Todd Akin said he has doubts about the constitutionality of Medicare and thinks global warming “is highly suspect.” Akin, a six-term congressman seeking the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate, spent much of the 75 minutes attacking the expansive nature of the federal government, calling his opposition to federal health care changes a struggle against tyranny. The meeting was attended by about two dozen tea party activists. “It will destroy health care, and it will destroy our country if we ...

Rather than have a candidate implode in the general election, when candidates self-destruct before the primary then they never become the nominee in the first place. Dale Hansen: Republican Rebranding a Massive Failure
Priebus can cut off contact with liberal media outlets to protest claims that he feels are unjust; however, if he is truly dedicated to reestablishing the Republican Party, he could start by looking in the mirror first because as these examples show there is nothing the liberal media can say that will make Republicans look worse than their own actions do.
