Ireland's main opposition party Fine Gael has seen its poll rating drop as nationalist rival Sinn Fein gains support, according to the Irish Independent.
The poll, the first to be published since outgoing prime minister Brian Cowen this week set 25 February as the date for a general election, showed support for centre-right Fine Gael down by four points to 30 per cent while centre-left Labour wasunchsnged at 24 per cent.
