the book. Now come see the exhibit. The Ronald Reagan Presidential
Library and Museum is pleased to announce its new, upcoming special
exhibit on the life and times of Abraham Lincoln. Open June 1, 2013
through September 30, 2013, this new exhibit will explore the life of
Abraham Lincoln, commemorate the Civil War, and mark the 150th
anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation.
Highlights of this fascinating and educational exhibit include:
Abraham Lincoln’s earliest childhood writings
President Lincoln’s stovepipe hat and gold pocket watch
A copy of the Emancipation Proclamation signed by President Lincoln
The autopsy report from President Lincoln’s doctor the night of the assassination
One of only two existing life masks of President Lincoln
The inkwell President Lincoln used to write his fi
Celebrating American Swing 5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Dine under the wings of Air Force One and dance the
night away to the swingin’, sultry sounds of classic
big band hits, featuring the Eric Ekstrand Ensemble,
10-piece orchestra. From Luck Be a Lady, to The Way
You Look Tonight and everything in between, get ready for the best in flashback entertainment!
Start your evening off on the 2nd level of the Air Force One Pavilion
by listening to a renowned wine maker. You will enjoy a wine pairing

American Radio Relay League “Field Day” Saturday, June 22 – Sunday, June 23
During the fourth weekend in June each year, the American Radio Relay League “Field Day” event mobilizes Amateur Radio groups to operate under emergency conditions for a 24-hour period. Held at the Reagan Library from 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 22 through 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 23, visitors will be able to listen to amateur radio communication, talk to amateur radio stations located in other countries, and find out more about obtaining a FCC Amateur Radio License. “Field Day” is designed to test radio operators’ abilities to quickly set up and operate stations under emergency conditions, such as the loss of normal electric power or breakdown of normal cellular and other communication services.
This is the 13th consecutive year that the Ventura County Amateur Radio Society (VCARS) will hold Field Day activities at the Reagan Library. This year they will be joined by members from the Simi Settlers Ama
