Ricardo Alberto Martinelli Berrocal (Panamá, Panamá; 11 de marzo de 1952) es un político y empresario panameño y actual Presidente de Panamá. Fue candidato presidencial por su partido Cambio Democrático en las elecciones del año 2004, alcanzando el 5,03% de los votos. Se postuló nuevamente como candidato presidencial en las elecciones generales de mayo de 2009, en las que resultó triunfador con el 60,3% de los votos.
En 1998 funda el partido político Cambio Democrático y formaría parte de la alianza Unión por Panamá junto a los partidos Panameñista y Molirena. La alianza gana en 1999 las elecciones generales con Mireya Moscoso.

PANAMA CITY, Panama – Panamanian President Ricardo Martinelli said on June 10 that infrastructure investment has strengthened his country’s economy.
Martinelli said that for every US$1 that’s invested, US$0.40 is allocated for national infrastructure, enabling the country to fund massive construction projects, including a subway system in the nation’s capital, hospitals and highways. Martinelli also said he wants to construct “the largest airport in Latin America.”
