Plaid Cymru City bond idea attacked by rivals


Plaid leader Ieuan Wyn Jones said the Build for Wales fund would help economic growth and make up for cuts.The money would be raised through City bank bonds, but interest would have to be paid to bondholders every year. The Lib Dems called Plaid's plan "pie in the sky" while the Conservatives said it was "uncosted".Roads built under the scheme could have to be tolled, for example. Expelled student readmitted to Plaid Cymru


Astudent who was expelled from Plaid Cymru after accusing its leader of treachery for backing the introduction of university top-up fees has been readmitted to the party after she re-applied. Arianwen Caiach-Taylor, from Llanelli, was 17 when she denounced Ieuan Wyn Jones earlier this year in a letter that was leaked to the Western Mail.
