Politieke Loopbaan
Mulder se openbare politieke loopbaan begin in 1985 met sy verkiesing as stadsraadslid in Potchefstroom. Hy is verder in 1988 in ’n tussenverkiesing tot Parlementslid verkies - hy was die Konserwatiewe Party se verteenwoordiger vir die kiesafdeling Schweizer-Reneke - en hy was ook deel van die KP se onderhandelingspan met die ANC in 1993 voor die 1994-verkiesing.
