Pak Ui Chun, minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK, sent a congratulatory message to Ali Ahmed Karti on June 26 upon his appointment as foreign minister of Sudan. Expressing belief that the good friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries would grow stronger, the message wished him great success in his new job.

The Russian and North Korean Foreign Ministers, Sergei Lavrov and Pak Ui-chun, are due to take up ways to resume the six-ways talks on the Korean Peninsula’s nuclear problems in Moscow today. Moscow is consulting its partners in the group of six on the tense situation on the Korean Peninsula. Last week Deputy Russian Foreign Minister Alexei Borodavkin met the General-Director of the Japanese Foreign Ministry Asia Department Akitaka Saiki.
