Mead is the son of Peter Mead and Mary Hansen Mead (1935-1996), the GOP gubernatorial nominee in 1990, and the grandson of the late Governor and U.S. Senator Clifford P. Hansen. Wyoming Governor Matt Mead has announced plans to be in Lincoln and Teton Counties on Monday to see the mudslide blocking US Highway 89 and assess the situation.
