Rubio, Manchin: U.S. Must Defend Israel At The United Nations
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Joe Manchin (D-WV) introduced a Senate resolution today expressing opposition to actions by the Palestinian Authority to try to litigate the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through the United Nations (U.N.), rather than engaging in direct, bilateral negotiations. The concurrent resolution urges the Obama Administration to continue exercising its veto power in the U.N. Security Council on any resolution regarding the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. “I condemn the disingenuous actions by the Palestinian Authority leadership to seek statehood through the U.N. and bypass direct talks with Israel,” said Rubio. “This is just the latest sign that Israel currently lacks a true partner for peace. These attempts by the Palestinians will only push the two parties further apart. It is the duty of the United States to stand with Israel and continue to veto any U.N. resolution that inserts the United Nations into th

Rubio: UnitedHealthcare’s Decision Is Another Sign ObamaCare Is Broken
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) today issued the following statement regarding UnitedHealthcare’s decision to leave ObamaCare exchanges in all but “a handful of states,” further confirming ObamaCare’s failure: “UnitedHealthcare’s announcement that it is abandoning ObamaCare exchanges across the country is another sign this law is broken and must be repealed and replaced. It’s clear the health insurance companies that helped pass ObamaCare want nothing to do with it now that they’re losing money and can’t get the taxpayer-funded bailout that was tucked deep into the law. I’m proud to have led the successful effort in Congress to stop the ObamaCare bailout, and it is a top priority for me to make sure we stop it once again later this year.”

WORLD: Rubio, Eshoo Receive Religious Liberty Awards
An independent religious freedom coalition recognized Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and Rep. Anna Eshoo, D-Calif., on Tuesday for their commitment to protecting the freedoms of religious minorities around the world. Organizers said it was easy to pick this year’s religious liberty leaders and decide who should receive special recognition. “When we got together to vote on recipients, there was not one word of dissent for [Rubio and Eshoo],” said Greg Mitchell, co-chair of the International Religious Freedom Roundtable. … “We can’t impose religious liberty, but I think we have the moral, and quite frankly, the national security obligation to ensure that we’re a voice on behalf of it around the world,” Rubio told me ahead of accepting the award. “I don’t want religious liberty to be an option or a box to be checked. I want it to be made a priority.” Last year, Rubio led the Senate’s charge to preserve
