Less than 1% of state land in West Bank allocated to Palestinians
Israel has allocated less than 1 percent of state land in the occupied West Bank to Palestinians, compared to 38% to settlers, daily Haaretz reported last week. The figures cover 33 years and are from Civil Administration documents submitted to the High Court of Justice.
Those documents show that Palestinians received 2,150 acres of state lands during that period, while approximately 99,000 acres were allocated to the World Zionist Organization. Most of the Jewish settlements, both residences and agricultural land, are built on this land. An additional 165,807 acres of West Bank land are still held by the Israeli government.

דובר צה"ל הודיע לאחרונה שהצבא ישוב ויצמצם את השטח המותר בדיג ברצועת עזה משישה מייל ימי לשלושה (כ-5.5 ק"מ) בתגובה לירי של ארגונים פלסטיניים חמושים לעבר ישובי הדרום. קודם לכן הודיע הצבא על סגירת מעבר כרם-שלום בתגובה לירי. בכך החזיר הצבא לקדמותן את ההגבלות החמורות שהוטלו על הדייגים ברצועה עד למבצע עמוד ענן. מבדיקת בצלם עולה כי באותו יום, 21 במארס, הדייגים עבדו כרגיל עד שעות אחה"צ. בחצות קראו חיילים ברמקולים לעבר הדייגים שטווח הדייג חזר לקדמותו, לשלושה מייל. המצופים שהציב הצבא לאחר מבצע "עמוד ענן" בטווח השישה מייל נמצאים עדיין במקומם.

On Marx Forum 2013
The sixth annual Marx conference devoted to "Left Perspectives on the International Crisis of Capitalism and the Social Protests in Israel" took place in Tel Aviv, Haifa and Beer-Sheva, in Hebrew and Arabic, on May and June 2012, under the auspices of Hagada Ha'smalit (Left Bank) Alternative Cultural Center. In addition to 28 panelists, approximately three hundred people participated in the meetings and discussion. The conference received valuable assistance from the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation. Summaries of lectures were published in the Hebrew website "Hagada Ha'smalit."
It is not every day that a sizable group of academicians and activists meet to develop a dialog, to debate and to cooperate in furthering their common aim of maintaining and developing the intellectual and political status of Marxism in the country.
