محمود عباس (26 مارس 1935 -)، الرئيس الثالث للسلطة الوطنية الفلسطينية منذ 15 يناير 2005 ولا يزال في المنصب على الرغم من انتهاء ولايته دستورياً في 9 يناير 2009. هو أحد قياديي حركة فتح الفلسطينية، ويشغل منصب رئيس اللجنة التنفيذية في منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية منذ 11 نوفمبر 2004 بعد وفاة زعيمها ياسر عرفات. واستمر بمواصلة مهام الرئاسة على الرغم من انتهاء فترته الرئاسية في 9 يناير 2009 وذلك بسبب ظروف الحرب على غزة.
