President Ivanov on Official Visit to Austria ‎


President Gjorge Ivanov will pay an official visit to Austria on June 20 upon an invitation by his Austrian counterpart Heinz Fischer.On Monday, Ivanov will start the visit officially by meeting his host, Austria's President Fischer in Hofburg Palace. According to announcements, both presidents will discuss bilateral relations, ways to improve the business cooperation as well as Macedonia's integration to EU and NATO. The Republic of Macedonia remains consistent to its permanent and top goals and priorities complying with the basic principle of openness and closeness with everyone, said President Gjorge Ivanov at a plenary session of the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) participating countries, taking place in Sveti Stefan, Montenegro. Macedonian presidential elections violence-free


Macedonia's presidential and local elections during the weekend were conducted without violence, unlike last year's voting, officials said.Security was tight for the election, in contrast to last June's elections, which were marked by fraud and gunfights, leaving one person dead, Radio Free Europe reported Monday.
