Early life, education, and early career
Larry was born on May 31, 1962. He was raised in the small town of Kincaid, Illinois. His father, Ronald, was a coal miner, Navy serviceman, and lifelong Democrat while his mother, Barbara, a nurse.
Larry graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and got his medical degree from the University of Illinois Medical School at Chicago.
