Haji Mohammad Mohaqiq’s vehicles attacked in Maidan Wardak
Taliban militants on Thursday evening attacked the convoy of Haji Mohammad Mohaqiq Afghan parliament member. The incident took place in Maidan Wardak province in close to central Bamiyan province of Afghanistan. A source close to Haji Mohammad Mohaqiq confirming the report said the incident took place while the vehicles of Haji Mohammad Mohaqiq was on his way towards Kabul city. Clashes reported near Haji Mohammad Mohaqiq House in Bamiyan
According to reports the residence of Haji Mohammad Mohaqiq member of the Afghan House of Representatives was attacked by unknown gunmen in central Bamiya province on Wednesday night. The report was confirmed by security personnel of Haji Mohammad Mohaqiq and said the incident took place around 10:30 pm local time. The source further added no one was injured or killed following the clashes. KABUL - Afghan President Hamid Karzai on Wednesday sacked four academics from a leading research centre over a book that sparked fury for reportedly insulting the Hazara ethnic group.
