ROM - Emil Boc (n. 6 septembrie, 1966, Răchiţele, Cluj) este un politician român. La alegerile locale din 2004, a fost ales primar al municipiului Cluj-Napoca şi în 2008 reales în această funcţie, cu 76,2% din voturi. Din 25 iunie 2005 este preşedinte al Partidului Democrat, şi, după fuziunea cu PLD, preşedinte al Partidului Democrat Liberal rezultat din această fuziune. Emil Boc este unul dintre promotorii doctrinei populare. În urma desemării ca prim-ministru, formează Guvernul Boc care a primit votul de învestitură al Parlamentului şi a depus jurământul în faţa preşedintelui Traian Băsescu în 22 decembrie 2008. Este căsătorit cu Oana Boc, lector universitar dr. la Facultatea de Litere din Cluj.
