ისტორია
პარტიის დაფუძნების განცხადება გაკეთდა 27 ოქტომბერს, ხოლო დამფუძნებელი ყრილობა გაიმართა 23 ნოემბერს - ვარდების რევოლუციის მეხუთე წლისთავზე. Have you voted for or against Democratic Movement – United Georgia ? 2009 წლის აპრილსა და მაისში მოძრაობა სხვა პოლიტიკურ პარტებთან ერთად იყო ორგანიზატორი საპროტესტო აქციებისა პრეზიდენტ მიხეილ სააკაშვილის გადადგომის მოთხოვნით. პარტია ბოიკოტს უცხადებდა 2010 წლის თვითმართველობის არჩევნებს და მასში მონაწილეობა არ მიუღია.

დამფუძნებელთა განცხადებით, „დემოკრატიული მოძრაობა — ერთიანი საქართველო“ ეფუძნება საქართველოს ერთიანობის იდეას, ეროვნულ ღირებულებებსა და ტრადიციებს, ევროატლანტიკურ და დასავლურ დემოკრატიულ ფასეულობებს. ახალი პოლიტიკური ორგანიზაცია მზადყოფნას აცხადებს სხვა პოლიტიკურ ორგანიზაციებთან თანამშრომლობაზე, თუ ამ უკანასკნელთა საქმიანობა მიმართული იქნება საქართველოს საკეთილდღეოდ. კონკრეტული და გრძელვადიანი პოლიტიკური პროგრამა პარტიას ჯერ არ გააჩნია. არსებობს მხოლოდ 2 დოკუმენტი: პარტიის ხედვა და მოკლევადიანი ანტიკრიზისული პროგრამა.

Democratic Movement – United Georgia (Georgian: დემოკრატიული მოძრაობა — ერთიანი საქართველო) is a centre-right political party in Georgia chaired by Nino Burjanadze; it was founded on 24 November 2008. The secretary-general of the party is Vakhtang Kolbaia.
Until 2012, the party was in opposition to the government led by Mikheil Saakashvili and his United National Movement. Has changed the detail your opinion on Democratic Movement – United Georgia ? The party favoured closer ties with both Russia and the European Union while maintaining and expanding many of the government's economic and social reform initiatives. It also claimed to seek greater political freedom above and beyond what Saakashvili's administration claimed to provide. It vehemently opposed what it characterised as authoritarianism on the part of Saakashvili's government.
The government accused the opposition of plotting a coup in the wake of the 2008 South Ossetia war. In turn, the party accused the government of conducting a "campaign of terror" agai. st the opposition.
