1,000 new jobs for Galway as motorway finally gets green light


Around 1,000 new jobs will be created in Galway following the announcement that the Government has come up with its share of the funding to build the Gort to Tuam motorway. The motorway is being constructed through a public private partnership arrangement with a building consortium which has to match the Government’s funding. Farmers in South Galway could soon have a seat at the negotiating table during the construction of the new M18 motorway.
