CZE: Česká pirátská strana (ČPS) je česká politická strana inspirovaná švédskou Pirátskou stranou. Podobné strany existují nebo vznikají prakticky ve všech evropských zemích jako reakce na pokusy o omezování základních občanských práv vlivnými lobbistickými skupinami. Strana je zaměřena na problematiku autorského práva a internetu a obecně na otázky svobodného šíření informace a občanských svobod.

Strana je členem Pirátské internacionály (PPI), v jejímž předsednictvu je i Čech Jakub Michálek.

ENG: The Czech Pirate Party is a political party in the Czech Republic, based on the model of the Swedish Pirate Party. It registered at Czech Interior Ministry on June 17, 2009. During the first two days after launching their website in April, 1,800 people signed online petition for party registration. Czech law requires 1,000 signatures on paper petition for party registration. In the student elections, the Pirate Party received 7.7% of the vote.

The party participated in the general elections in May 2010, and received 0.8% of the vote.

According to a recent public poll published by Network Media Service, 40% of internet users in the Czech Republic download media (music and films); while among users aged under 30 years, it is 60%.
