Malta will not serve as military base – PM
Malta will not be used as a military base to assist in the enforcement of UN resolutions against Libya, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi said this evening. In a hastily-announced press conference, Dr Gonzi said that Malta would give clearance to aircraft needing to use its airspace, but would host no military base itself.
