Zafar Jhandir is the Convener and founder of Sindh Dost Ittehad and belongs to Jhanday-waro family, whose genealogy is linked to Amir ul Momineen Syedna Hazrat Ali (KAW). Born in 1953, got his primary education in a school of Old Sukkar and graduated from Islamia College Sukkar. He started his career as a Journalist being an owner and Editor in Chief of Urdu Newspaper "Saadaat" which was introduced from Karachi in 1990. He founded his own political party "Sindh Ittehad" which was very popular and well known second largest party of Sindh, but due to presence of evil, selfish and bias elements in politics and brutal assassination of Ghulam Murtaza Bhutto made him so dejected that he dissolved the party and became inactive for quite some time. Zafar Janday-waro has now announced a new social, welfare group "Sindh Dost Ittehad" to eradicate terrorism, paganism, linguistic bias, distinction in caste and foreign interference from our society and to create an atmosphere of unity, equality, brotherhood amongst the people. Sindh Dost Ittehad is committed to enhance people's Democracy, Social justice and Islamic principles in the society.
