Reid Ribble Biography



Reid James Ribble (born April 5, 1956) is the U.S. Representative for Wisconsin's 8th congressional district. He is a member of the Republican Party.


Early life, education, and career

Ribble is a third generation Wisconsin resident. He was born in Neenah, Wisconsin. He graduated from Appleton East High School. After high school, he attended Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music to become a full time minister. However, he eventually decided to continue his father's small business instead. Ribble is currently serving as Congressman for Wisconsin's 8th District.

Political campaigns

2010 election

Ribble defeated two other candidates to win the Republican primary in September. Ribble defeated Democratic incumbent Steve Kagen for Wisconsin's 8th congressional district November 2, 2010 in the general election.
