Ljudmila Novak, slovenska politiÄarka, * 1. avgust 1959, Maribor, Slovenija. Trenutno je predsednica stranke NSi in od 21. decembra 2011 je podpredsednica Državnega zbora Republike Slovenije.
Osnovno šolo je obiskovala v domaÄem kraju, v Zgornji Velki. Po zakljuÄeni osnovni šoli se je vpisala v Prvo gimnazijo Maribor, šolanje pa nadaljevala na Filozofski fakulteti, kjer je leta 1982 diplomirala iz nemškega in slovenskega jezika s književnostjo. Najprej se je zaposlila v srednješolskem centru v Murski Soboti, leta 1985 je pouÄevala v dekliškem vzgajališÄu v Višnji Gori, kje je bila tudi vodja srednje šole. Svojo politiÄno kariero je zaÄela leta 2000 z vstopom v stranko Nova Slovenija. Na nadomestnih županskih volitvah leta 2001 je bila izvoljena za moravško županjo, funkcijo pa je opravljala do izvolitve v evropski parlament leta 2004. Na kongresu stranke je bila 15. novembra 2008 izvoljena za predsednico stranke. Ponovni mandat predsednice NSi so ji delegati zaupali na volilnem kongresu 11. Ljudmila Novak (born 1 August 1959) is a Slovenian politician and a former Member of the European Parliament. She is the president of the New Slovenia – Christian People's Party. Since 21 December 2011, she has been the vice-president of the Slovenian National Assembly.

Between 1982 and 2001, she worked as a school teacher, first in Murska Sobota, and then in Višnja Gora and finally in MoravÄe. She entered politics in 2001, when she was elected mayor of MoravÄe. After the Slovenian parliamentary election of 2008, when New Slovenia failed to gain any seats in the National Assembly (NA), the lower house of the Slovenian parliament, Ljudmila Novak was elected president of the party. At the 2011 Slovenian parliamentary election, the party won 4 seats in the NA.
Novak is well known for her advocacy against same-sex marriages, civil unions, and LGBT adoption. In her role as the president of New Slovenia, she stated that homosexuality is not normal, that same sex relationships are less stable than opposite sex relationships, and that gay people should not be able to adopt.
