LIT - Dalia Grybauskaitė (g. 1956 m. kovo 1 d. Vilniuje) – Lietuvos politikė, diplomatė, Europos Sąjungos komisarė, buvusi LR ministrė ir viceministrė.
 
Išsilavinimas
Dalia Grybauskaitė baigė Vilniaus Salomėjos Nėries vidurinę mokyklą, 1983 m. – Leningrado A. Ždanovo universitete politinės ekonomijos studijas, Maskvoje apgynė mokslų daktarės laipsnį (1988 m.). 1993 m. laipsnis Lietuvoje nostrifikuotas į socialinių mokslų (ekonomikos krypties) daktarės laipsnį. 1991 m. Džordžtauno universitete (Vašingtonas) Tarptautinių ekonominių santykių institute Grybauskaitė baigė specialią programą vadovams. Grybauskaitė moka lietuvių, anglų, rusų, lenkų, prancūzų kalbas.
 
Remiantis 2009 m. vasario 5-8 dienomis surengtos visuomenės nuomonės ir rinkos tyrimų centro "Vilmorus" apklausos rezultatais, Dalia Grybauskaitė aplenkė kelerius metus iš eilės pirmavusį prezidentą Valdą Adamkų (visuomenės pasitikėjimas Grybauskaite išaugo nuo 21,1% iki 26%). - Have you voted in the poll Dalia Grybauskaitė ? -

2009 m. vasario 26 d. Dalia Grybauskaitė viešai paskelbė dalyvausianti 2009 metų gegužės mėnesį vyksiančiuose Lietuvos prezidento rinkimuose. Po D.Grybauskaitės apsisprendimo politologai teigia, kad ji yra realiausia kandidatė užimti šalies vadovo postą, ką patvirtina ir piliečių apklausos.

European Commission

In November 2005 Dalia Grybauskaitė was named "Commissioner of the Year" in the European Voice Europeans of the Year poll. She was nominated "for her unrelenting efforts to shift EU spending towards areas that would enhance competitiveness such as research and development". She commented: "I don't usually participate in contests, so this is a very pleasant surprise for me. I consider it a distinction not for me personally, but for all the new EU Member States, both small and large, as an acknowledgment of their bringing a new and fresh perspective to the EU. I think that it’s also a prize for having the courage to speak the often difficult truth and to point out the real price of political rhetoric in Europe. As for results, we still have to wait for them. An agreement on the budget for 2007-2013, which Europe really needs, is most important.”
 
2009 presidential elections
On February 26, 2009 Grybauskaitė officially announced she will be running for the President of Lithuania this year. In her speech, she said:
“ I decided to return to Lithuania if Lithuanian people decide I am needed there now. I think that we all long for the truth, transparency and responsibility for our country. We all want to live without fear being confident in ourselves, each other and in tomorrow. 

I can and I want to contribute with my experience, knowledge and skills to expel shadows from morality, politics, economics creating a citizen-ruled Lithuania - a state of citizens. - Have you read details about Adamkus Valdas ? - Therefore, I will run for the Lithuanian president.”


According to opinion polls, Grybauskaitė is an undisputed leader in the race for the President.
