Alenka Bratušek, slovenska menedžerka in političarka, * 31. marec 1970, Celje. Predsednica 11. slovenske vlade. Kot članica Pozitivne Slovenije in poslanka Državnega zbora Republike Slovenije je januarja 2013 od Zorana Jankovića prevzela vodstvo stranke, potem ko je bil ta osumljen korupcije s strani Komisije za preprečevanje korupcije Republike Slovenije. 20. marca 2013 je postala predsednica 11. vlade Republike Slovenije.

 

Življenje

Alenka Bratušek je leta 1994 diplomirala na Fakulteti za naravoslovje in tehnologijo Univerze v Ljubljani, kjer je leta 2006 tudi magistrirala na Fakulteti za družbene vede iz menedžmenta. Je poročena in mati polnoletni hčerki ter najstniškemu sinu. Živi v Kranju. Od 27. februarja 2013 je bila mandatarka za sestavo 11. vlade Republike Slovenije, ki je bila nato izglasovana 20. marca 2013.

 

Politična kariera in delo

Pred vstopom v politiko je bila zaposlena na Ministrstvu za finance, kjer se je ukvarjala z državnim proračunom. Šest let je bila direktorica Direktorata za proračun na Ministrstvu za finance RS. Pred tem je vodila Sektor za državni proračun. Na volitvah leta 2008 je kandidirala na listi Zaresa, a ni bila izvoljena. Od leta 2012 je poslanka v državnem zboru RS in od januarja 2013 predsednica stranke Pozitivna Slovenija. 27. februarja 2013 je ob izglasovani konstruktivni nezaupnici vladi Janeza Janše, s 55 glasovi ZA in 33 PROTI postala mandatarka za sestavo nove vlade Republike Slovenije.

Alenka Bratušek(born 31 March 1970) is a Slovenian public servant who has been Prime Minister of Slovenia since March 2013, the first woman in Slovenia to hold this position. Since January 2013, she has been president pro tempore of the Positive Slovenia party.

 

Political career

In 2008, Bratušek unsuccessfully ran for Parliament on the list of the Social Liberal party Zares. In the 2011 early parliamentary elections, she was elected on the list of the Positive Slovenia party. Since 2011, she has been the chairperson of the parliamentary Committee for Budget Control.

 

On 17 January 2013, Bratušek was elected as president of the Positive Slovenia party after its leader and founder Zoran Janković temporarily renounced all functions in the party following allegations raised by the official Commission for the Prevention of Corruption report. Also following the report, right-wing leader Janez Janša's government received a vote of no confidence.

 

On 27 February, Bratušek was elected as the Prime Minister-designate to form a new government of Slovenia. A new parliamentary majority, formed by PS and Social Democrats's party was formed. On 20 March, Bratušek formed a government. During her tenure, she presided over the construction of the first mosque in the country. In seeking to avoid a financial bailout her government won a vote of confidence by 50 to 31 on 15 November.
