Minority Front Leader Mr A. Rajbansi and Mrs Shameen Rajbansi with the MF Team at the presentation of soccer balls to all the Captains of the twelve Teams whom participated in the Finals. Also present at the tournament was the President of SAFA Phoenix Mr Nelson Kisten.


Leader of the Minority Front Mr A Rajbansi has honoured the partnership between the Minority Front and the Caneside United F.C in hosting a successful Junior Memorial Tournament in celebrating the 150 years arrival of Indian's to South Africa.

Mr Rajbansi said that the partnership in this historical tournament is another leg of the Minority Front's event commemorating the 150 years celebration of arrival of Indian's in South Africa. The Minority Front also sponsored a bicycle in a lucky ticket draw, provided lunch and gave the 12 teams whom played in the finals a soccer ball. The tournament was a great success in remembering the great soccer legends.

Mr Rajbansi is also inviting the community to another Minority Front 150 year's commemoration event on the 22nd August at the Stanmore Regional Hall starting at 2pm. There will be great entertainment by the Nagara Touch, Luxmi Ragam and the great Rajastan Dancers.

Mr Ashwin Singh the co-coordinator of this great event said that the Caneside United F.C thanks all the sponsors including the Minority Front, Dornish, SAFA Phoenix and others. The event was a great success and all the participating teams conducted themselves very professionally. Every Team was given Lunch, a trophy and a kit bag. This was the first ever tournament whereby entry to this tournament was free.
