In a warm meeting with representatives of this religious organization with members in several provinces, Díaz-Canel commented that at a time when economic changes are underway to move toward a more viable and just socialism, addressing the spirituality, emotions and feelings of the people is also essential.

"If we are capable of strengthening our economy and we assume the results with culture, knowledge, decency, without vanities and selfishness, but with solidarity, we are defending another type of society, defending another type of ideal and we agree on all of these issues," he said.

Díaz-Canel reiterated the government and the Communist Party’s confidence in the country’s Spiritists and recognized the role they play in maintaining unity, emphasizing their work to grow and become better human beings, their contribution to the education of younger generations by promoting appropriate social behavior and values such as fraternity, respect and community.
