WINTER PARK, Fla. -- One the most closely-watched races in the nation is the three-way battle for the U.S. Senate seat in Florida. Tonight, Independent Charlie Crist, Democrat Kendrick Meek and Republican Marco Rubio will meet for a debate moderated by NBC's David Gregory on WESH 2. The three candidates sounded off on some the biggest issues facing Florida during Sunday's CNN debate. All three called for some type of immigration reform."It's important to move toward comprehensive immigration reform," Meek said. "I am the only one at the table who has voted for that.""Let's understand why people come here illegally," Rubio said. "One of the things that contributes to illegal immigration is that we have a broken immigration system.""What I think we need to do is first secure the border. After that, I think you have to have an earned path to citizenship. I'm not for amnesty," Crist said.Gregory said voters should look for Crist and Meek to take a more clear stand on big issues during tuesday's debate."Particularly Crist, who hasn't answered some key question, perhaps being a little more forthcoming as he's trying to move the vote a little bit. It's been a difficult run. for both (Crist and Meek)," Gregory said.
